Housing and Utilities Infrastructure
It is well known that environment of a modern megalopolis leaves much to be desired. We «use» 15–16 kg of polluted air in 24 hours, i. e. much more than all foodstuff. Thereby we receive a daily portion from 15 to 100 mg of such poisons as carbon monoxide, formaldehyde, benzopyrene and other compounds — big cities’ satellites.
Pollution level of carbon monoxide and nitric oxides in housing estate areas situated near highways is 10–15 time higher than the maximum permissible (maximum concentration limit). Precisely the same pollutant concentration can be found at one’s home.
Installation proposed for production allows to clear, sterilize and deodorize air.
| General review of the issue | There are a great number of pollutants in the atmosphere of a modern apartment. Principal sources: street air, furniture, household chemicals, |
| Examples, cases and problems | a vacuum cleaner is a dangerous «bacterial bomb» in one’s apartment because of the dust «living» in the dust collector. On the basis of heat from the engine and duration of accumulation dust mites, moldy, and bacteria propagate in hundreds of generations. When the vacuum cleaner is turned on, they are blown up in the air of the room. A warning signal for our immune system is that specific smell of the vacuum cleaner. Perceiving it, we inhale an enormous quantity of poisonous fungi and bacteria.

The installation suggested for production allows to clear, sterilize, deodorize air of carbon monoxide, nitric oxide, ozone, ammonia, aldehydes, ethers, mercaptans and other fetid compounds; to clear gas emissions of vapours and aerosols, organic and other volatile toxic compounds and their decay products, including dioxins, benzpyrenes, bacterial, virus and moldy agents.
Inside the rooms air gets soiled by vapours of volatile organic compounds coming continuously from furniture, synthetic finishing materials, household chemicals and other sources (according to WHO experts room and office air is 4–6 times dirtier and 8–10 times more poisonous than external air and this is a primary risk factor for people’s health).
